The bracelet takes its name from Yehoshua (Joshua), the leader who carried the people of Israel into the Promised Land. Before the journey he was told: "Chazak ve'ematz", be strong and courageous (Joshua 1:6). The Yud, the smallest letter of the Hebrew alphabet and the first letter of his name, is a reminder that true strength starts small and from within.
